This Privacy Notice and Policy is incorporated into any executed Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work and the Website Terms and Conditions (collectively, the “Agreement”). Capitalized terms used herein shall have the definition attributed to them in our Subscription Terms unless otherwise specified herein.

This Website (www.tech4lawyers.com) is operated by Tech4Lawyers. At Tech4Lawyers, we know that your privacy is of the utmost importance to you. Accordingly, we treat your information confidentially and are committed to protecting your privacy and your personally identifiable information (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “Personal Data”).

Information Collection and Use by Tech4Lawyers

Tech4Lawyers is the sole owner of all information collected in conjunction with the Services, including both Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Any misuse or improper collection of information provided on Tech4Lawyers is a violation of Tech4Lawyers policies and should be reported to Tech4Lawyers.

Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Notice and Policy, or where a User is expressly informed otherwise, we do not sell, rent, share, trade, or give away any Personally Identifiable Information to any third parties.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Privacy Notice and Policy, Tech4Lawyers reserves the right to transfer both Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information to a successor in interest that acquires rights to that information as a result of a transfer or sale of Tech4Lawyers, the business related to the Services, or substantially all of Tech4Lawyers assets, to that successor in interest. In addition, we may share both Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information with our authorized service providers.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

Except as otherwise provided herein, Tech4Lawyers discloses Personal Data to third parties who reasonably need to know such data only for the scope of the initial transaction and not for other purposes.   2. or agree to provide adequate protections for the Personal Data that are no less protective than those set out in this Policy.

Tech4Lawyers also may disclose Personal Data for other purposes or to other third parties when a Data Subject has consented to or requested such disclosure. Please be aware that Tech4Lawyers may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. 

Tech4Lawyers is liable for appropriate onward transfers of personal data to third parties.

Minors under Age 13

The minimum age to use the Services and the Website is thirteen (13) unless the express written permission of your parent or guardian has been recorded with your student health center. Tech4Lawyers does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen (13) or knowingly allow such persons to register as Members of the Website unless such persons meet the criteria outlined above. No one under age thirteen (13) is allowed to provide any Personally Identifiable Information in conjunction with the Services unless they meet the criteria outlined above. In the event that we learn that we have collected Personally Identifiable Information from a minor under age 13 who does not meet the criteria outlined above, we reserve the right to deactivate any Services associated with that person; however, we will retain that person’s Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with state and federal laws pertaining to retention and protection of such information. Permitted and Required Uses and Disclosures That May be Made Without Your Consent, Authorization, or Opportunity to Object

Right to Access Personal Data

You have the right to know what Personal Data about you is included in Tech4Lawyers databases and to ensure that such Personal Data is accurate and relevant for the purposes for which Tech4Lawyers collected it. You may review Personal Data stored in the databases and correct, erase, or block any data that is incorrect, as permitted by applicable law and Tech4Lawyers policies.

Enforcement and Dispute Resolution

Tech4Lawyers commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information.

As part of this agreement, Tech4Lawyers subjects itself to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Use of Cookies

We do not and will not use cookies to collect Personally Identifiable Information from any User of the Website which they did not intentionally submit to us, other than as stated in this Privacy Notice and Policy. Please note that Tech4Lawyers may allow third parties that are presenting Third Party Content on some of our pages to set and access their cookies on a User’s computer. Correcting, Updating, or Removing Information

Removed information may persist in backup copies of the Website indefinitely, but such information will continue to be protected under the terms of this Privacy Notice and Policy.

Third Party Content

Third Party Content appearing on the Services may be delivered to Users by Tech4Lawyers or one of our Third Party Content providers. In addition, our Third Party Content providers may set cookies.
